Company Social Responsibilty

 As a socially responsible organisation, Kamaniya supports many social concerns through various initiatives taken. We integrate social and environmental concerns in every step of our business operations. Our business is predicated upon achieving the perfect balance of economic, environmental and social imperatives.

Our main workforce is formed by women from the poorest of poor sections of the rural Bengal society. These women, mostly from villages such as Gopiballavpur near Jhargram and some villages in Barasat, work for Kamaniya to sustain themselves as well as their families. This work gives them a financial stability that is much needed for the welfare of not only these women, but for their children and other family members as well.

We believe that together we can achieve an inclusive and sustainable market to enhance our business as well as to assist the downtrodden. We, as a socially responsible organisation, feel compulsion in contributing to the economic mobility of these womenfolk.

Our key CSR issues are: environmental management, eco-efficiency, responsible sourcing, social equity, gender balance, human rights, good governance, and anti-corruption measures.
